mxdwn PREMIERE: The Silver Snails Craft Dreamy, Psychedelic Pop Rock on New Song “Temple Princess”

“The Silver Snails are an Italian rock band consisting of lead singer Lucas Ward and his wife Elisa Fantini. They’ve released their debut album The 7 Melodies, an LP consisting of eight songs that seeks to perfect the art of pop rock. Today we’re premiering the lyric video for one of the highlights of the album, a track called “Temple Princess.”

“‘Temple Princess’ is an ode to the dual inspirations of nature and female companion,” Ward said. “The chorus line of ‘Ma Ma Ma’ invokes the universal syllable for mother that all babies know, placing us in reverence before the divine female in various avatars: wife, mother, planet…The song has a specific time of day (dawn or predawn; coffee time) and though not intentional, we recently noted the similarity of the melody to the distant church bells which ring in the hour as we go outside to greet the day in rural Romagna, where our ‘temple’ is located…..
